> Board of Directors > By-Laws The mission of Derby City Fly Fishers, Inc. is to introduce and educate the sporting public to the sport of fly fishing in concert with conservation efforts to enhance fisheries wherever possible. Derby City Fly Fishers' regular meeting is the third Wednesday of each month, 6:30 p.m. at the Louisville Nature Center across from the zoo. These meetings are designed to be informative, instructional, and entertaining. Everyone is invited. On the fourth Wednesday of each month there is fly tying instruction at the Louisville Nature Center. The instruction starts at 7:00pm and goes until 9:00pm. Anyone interested in fly tying is invited to attend. Beginners are welcome. Materials and tools will be provided but if you have your own vise and tools, please bring them. The Board of Directors meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30. The meeting moves around among local restaurants so check the website for details. This is a dinner meeting to discuss and plan club issues, events, and functions. All members are invited and encouraged to attend.
